There are a lot of unique challenges with remodeling a space like this that we were able to smoothly navigate on what we were told was the largest scale remodel of any unit in the building at the time. We brought in the local architect and engineers needed to develop stamped drawings for the required commercial plans review and permitting process. We x-rayed the post-tension concrete floor slab to core drill for new plumbing and electrical lines.
We completely gutted all the finishes and much of the metal stud framing, carefully working around the building’s active sprinkler and fire alarm systems. And we successfully managed the logistical challenges of limited parking and getting debris and materials in and out of the building while maintaining the cleanliness of common areas and good relationships with building’s staff and neighboring residents.
